hey i was lookin at putting a cluster out of a vyss into my series 1 vy s pac just wanted to get some info on whether or not it will fit, im pretty sure the mounting holes will line up but i just wanna see if the back plug will be the same and what do i have to do to make it go properly if i put it in
Caution. If you get a VY SS cluster from the same series, then the cluster will work OK. VY and VY II series have different fuel sender units. If you get the wrong cluster, then your fuel gauge will work backwards and the Distance to Empty will be useless. This can be fixed at significant extra cost, but it is much better to get it right the first time. Why not go to a HSV cluster with the three window trip computer? That way you get increased functionality as well as the changed background colour.
Hi Guys, you can also change the needles and face plate from a VY SS dash onto your standard dash, you only have to solder 2 extra leds for dash illumination, means you dont have any worries about programming. JHP Vehicle Enhancements in Blackburn can do this. Mickymac
the dash will fit fine, it will need programming to suit your cars wheel size & airbag configuration. the reverse fuel sender issue can be fixed by programming.
