Not legal like that.
Your insurance company won’t like it one little bit and neither will the law.
Did you actually get a roadworthy certificate with it like that?
Anyway you’ve been told what to do before you crash it and hurt somebody or something.

My comment was tongue in cheek but you shouldn’t react so negatively to comments as @gossie’s post wasn’t off mark, especially his question about the roadworthy.

Actually, on that front, if you bought the car with those wheels and with a roadworthy supplied, then you’d have a claim either against the roadworthy provider (as they should have failed it with those wheels) or the seller for swapping them after the roadworthy was provided.

A RWC provider has to keep records (and some keep pictures on file) so what wheels (rims & tyres) were on the vehicle at the time can be determined.... So either get the RWC provider to put appropriate aspect ratio tyres on the 20” rims so it passes or get the seller to do the same. Otherwise chalk it up to a learning experience and spend some cash and buy appropriate tyres to fit the rims.

Just make sure to tell your insurance company the car is on aftermarket wheels otherwise your insurance may not provide the cover you hope ;)
