I stumbled across a VZ Adventra Diff that has 3.46.1 gears and I was wondering if the Diff will fit in my car

Not knowing anything about an Adventra, [pity I did not buy the one I got offered]
The only thing I would be worried about is the mounting and ratio, as the Adventra's had special Diffs ?
as they were 4x4's ? CX6's & CX8's
I could be wrong.

Been awhile since I've worked on an adventra. From memory rear diffs same same. If can get me a pic I can tell you.

The rear diff fits. You need to worry about gear ratios. They are not LSD.
V6 and V8 are different ratios which will be displayed on the diff.

Because the traction is controlled via the abs module, there is technically no need for LSD. However it is accepted that they drive better off road with LSD on the rear, hence dropping LSD doffs into a Cross Trac equipped Commodore is totally doable, therefore meaning you can swap the diffs the other way as well.

@Fu Manchu
As per your comment above ^^^^
So a 3.46:1 LSD would be acceptable ?
[being I have a 3.46:1 installed]

Where as the only thing I was worried about, was it might get axle wind up, which can wear the CV joints out
Stick with the exact same ratio, it shouldnt be a problem.

Yes. Both TruTrac and LSD diffs have added another level of traction to these from what the word is from those doing it. I guess Holden never did it for cost reasons, as is their way with many things Commodore.
