Hay RiCey,
When you lift the manifold up in 1 piece to get to the plugs, is there any other gasket or something there.
Wanna save $150 and do it myself.

Cheers
Brendan

Instructions also tell you to completely remove the manifold which isnt neccessary you can just lift it out the way to get the plugs out, saves removing fuel lines etc..

Hammer or block of wood ftw!

Ricey's way

lol you can do it either way but my way saves gaskets
Ricey,
I did it your way. Easy, quick and no unnecessary expense for gaskets.
Thanks for that.
The old plugs looked fine but I can certainly notice an improvement with the new ones. Hopefully fuel consumption will also improve. I don't know how old the original ones were.

Thanks again

what would be the problem if you broke the gasket? Did spark plugs on mine about 5 months ago, just gave it a go and it worked, undid all bolts and lifted manifold up enough to remove and replace plugs, seems fine, no noise or anything.

Vacuum leak, if your car behaves normally then the gasket is fine.
