VZ alternator problem

Having dramas with a VZ SV6. Regulator was buggered, went to holden who replaced the alernator but the charge light and engine light came on after this. Swapped the ECU and the charge light is still coming on after two new altenators and an ECU. Anyon had a similar problem?

think you will find its a programing error then...

dont think you would get 2 dud alternators in a row....
the output of the alternator is computer controlled, if the programming is wrong then the ecu thinks its letting the alternator charge when it really isnt.

Yeah mate but the ecu has been replaced.

Problem has been resolved. 3 faulty alternators caused the problem. Doesn't happen every day. They engine control module was what was replaced.
