VT > VZ rely on a 2 wire Antenna control,
Red and a white wire,
(Up and Down Control)
And it’s relies on a GOOD GROUND/EARTH for the Antenna to operate.

Cheers for that but I do have the red and white connected to stereo aerial (Blue) so do I bridge to the remote wire which I think is blue and white??? Its done my head all glovebox out dash again trying to find a broken wire,

Without know what wire does what from the A/M Unit,
All I can suggest you may need to install an Auxiliary Relay to drive the antenna pending its an OEM antenna,
I have attached a schematic diagram that may assist.

I have highlighted the Antenna unit in the attachment,
Being Red (R) and White (W) is the Up & down Wire, [cant remember which one is which]
and NEEDS a "Good Ground" Wire to operate.
Also the second ground connection is the for the Actual Antenna Mast Ground which bolts onto the Body of the inner guard.

Thanks Krusing when I sought out I will let you know. The aerial was bought off (Ozeparts) I have tested it to the specs on you tube works fine I think 1 earth is the body of aerial and the other is a wire. I have been looking for a relay because it has a motor ??? The stereo is a Kenwood DPX-5100BT anyway I did download the wiring diagrams for vx but 2 of course one standard one luxury. So 4 months later I will have another go I will do this or learn how to sing haha. Cheers mate

Did the old unit have the option of up and down on the unit? sounds like it that means you will have to use 2 relays to keep it up or buy a fully auto antenna. The blue wire is also the rem for Subwoofers its what tells it to fire up same as your antenna.
