Hey guys,
Recently i bought a new vz calais, as did my dad. His one as nearly soaking wet under the back carpet, and mine we noticed yesterday was a bit damp. I've searched around and found some ideas, but none really were the cause (air con, leaking doors).
Aa far as we could see, everything was fine, until we realised the majority of the water is around the floor mat clip (hole in the carpet), so now we reckon that when the previous owners have had their car detailed, they may have had the carpet shampooed and water has gotten underneath the carpet and soaked up by the insulation. Dad has soaked nearly all of his up with water absorbing crystals.
So if anyone finds some water under the carpet, mainly just around those holes and your car has had the carpet cleaned, maybe thats the cause.
Cheers
Garry
