Just in the process of throwing some new door speakers and an aftermarket head unit into my VZ Calais, but I am unsure exactly of how the factory amp is wired to the head unit?
As far as I know they don't have a separate speaker wires to the head unit so I'm presuming they piggy back off the rear door speakers with a line converter and low pass filter of some sort to run the amp/subs in the parcel shelf?
I've also read that I can adjust the gain slightly on the factory amp to give the factory subs abit more go than how they sound now? Idealy I'd just like to give them a slight boost and swap out the doors/headunit as normal.
So if anyone could shed a little light on how the factory amps/subs are wired up it would be great!
Cheers
