Yes I saw this a few weeks ago, doing something similar though my VZ sender does not have a return line, I will install one using a bulkhead fitting, then piping the return line keeping the siphon that scavenges fuel from the other side of the hump in the tank.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
Laty's got one of the most under rated channels for Aussie car enthusiasts. He has some new content on the way.

I was watching Josh's Car Corner, and he was modding the whole pump, bucket etc from another model that fit the GTO tank. Only it had a return line.
*Edit: Just went through a heap of his videos and I can't find it now :(

Yes I will be removing the intank press reg & will fit a three way a/m reg under the tray with short return line via a new bulkhead fitting fitted to the top of the sender unit assy.

Would be handy if I could find it because I thought of your project when I saw it.

Some may of noticed have totally removed the inherent in tank filter altogether including the intank pressure regulator. I have bought an external adjustable pressure reg, which I will mount close to the fuel tank. Have fitted a return AN bulkhead fitting to the top of the sender unit plate & with a barbed fitting which will connect directly to the oem tank siphon. I have also cut a section away from the lower bucket to ensure a good stream of fuel to the intake strainer.
