I got a Holden Hardlid for the Crewman.

Has all the hardware except the strut bracket/ball that fixes to the tub.

I haven’t been able to find an install pdf online that is relative to the factory lid.

I’ve found two types of fixtures for the struts. One that has two screw holes and one that screws in to what I’d assume is the tapered hex screw in the side.

I found a pic of the factory set up on the eBays and I’ve circled the part. That seems to be the bracket with two screws.

Does anyone have the fitting instructions & or know the manufacturer of the lids, so i can email them? I’ve done a search but it hasn’t turned up much other than after market lids.

Also, I don’t have a key for the cam lock, but that’s easy to replace.
However, what does the cam lock lock into? How is it latched? Could someone get a pick of their hardlid and upload it?

I’m guessing the stainless bracket that screws to the tub near the back window can be centred once hooked into the lid, mark position, then remove the lid, screw into tub, refit lid.

I just found this on eBay so hope this helps someone else.

Looks like I use the ball joint bolts. I have the lid mounts.

It’s only page 6 of 8, but more than I’ve found so far.

I found a page for fitment to a Crewman that shows to measure back 840mm from the inner edge of the tub back wall. It then shows to use the ball joint plate fixed with two self drilling/tapping screws.

I also found a page of the Holden install guide (elsewhere) showing the back latches fitting into two brackets that are screwed to the sides in each corner. Brackets are on eBay. Look the same for Ford and Holden.

Bit late with this, you seem to have it sorted by finding the instructions. I have replied to another thread about parts and distances for these, but can’t find it now.

Yes, you use the 2 screw ball joint plates shown in your first pic, mounted as per the top one with the bottom of it flush with the small indent/groove on the rail. On mine they are exactly in the middle of the tub, being 780mm, to front and to back, inside the tub.
Another member on here mounted the single stud ball into an existing hole as shown in your diagram, but could not shut the lid, so check if the gas struts are the correct length.

The front mounting plate with the 5 screws should be the exact length of the front section tub rail under the window, so centreing that, should not be a problem.

The upside down L locking plate at the rear, shown in the diagram, is held in by an original torx screw. This can be a bit fiddly to get the height and angle right, so lie inside with tail gate open and adjust so the keyed latches slide easily under them.

Pretty straight forward. By the time you read this, you might be admiring how easy it was.

Lol. Not quite. I still need struts. The L brackets for the locks, new locks, and the ball joint plate with the two screws.

Bloody legend. Big ups.

You photo shows that you have all the necessary parts ??
The 840mm you quoted, is the distance from the front outside edge, (near window) to the ball.
My hard lid was second hand, (black which looks schmick with Impulse Blue ). It came with the front bracket and a bag of assorted mostly useless crap, but did include the upper strut mounting brackets and tongue type hinges .
I got lucky, the ball plates, struts, and L brackets, and measurements from a wrecked tub, and the locks from Hi-Class Composites in Bayswater Vic. ( A search shows that they went into liquidation in Sep’18.)
The struts are 520mm extended, with a 250mm gas cylinder, and clip-in sockets at both ends.

Happy hunting.

The photos are from the jumble of detective work to gather info on how to install. Nearly all are from eBay.
I just used them to show what I was discussing.
