Started the car up the other day and would crank but not turn over then come up with check power train. I went into the computer and no code was logged.

Is there away I can check the computer to see if it is logging codes.

I'm thinkimg if i unplug the maf sensor wire and see if it logs a code when I start it.

Will this hurt the engine in any way

not sure if it brings up DTC's, but under the steering wheel kick panel you will see an electrical connector where the tech2 comuter plugs into it..within the connector, you will see 2(i think) row of little boxes...in the top row, working from left to right, the first 3 or so boxes are blank, the 4th 5th 6th etc will have little metal contacts...get a paperclip, and put one end in number 5 box, and the other end in number 6..this is a check mode, this can throw messages to you left right and centre...the engine maybe go rough while you do this, it may kick or go a little bit lumpy...on the cluster screen, it will come up with things like traction control failed, abs fault, service vehicle soon, and so on..don't be scared off by these...make sure your car is in neutral or park wiht the hand brake on while the car is running...just keep looking at the computer and see if any codes come up during the process..once you start to notice the same messages again, then take the paperclip out, let the engine run for a little while...turn the car off, turn it on to accessories and let it do the system check..when it says ok, start the car and make sure everything is working fine..if it isn't ok, a message or DTC will show, thats about all i can offer for you mate

cheers
