VZ front door speakers

Hi all,
Ive got my front door trims off and tweeters exposed (nothing broken yet thanks to threads in here), my question is... shouldn't there be a small box that controls both the woofer and tweeter? (Splitter?). Where is it? My reason for asking is because i dont want the headache of running all new wiring for new speakers, ill keep the old wiring and just fit new components.
Any other suggestions welcome.

If they are factory speakers and tweeters then they dont have a crossover box like aftermarket speakers, they just a capacitor or something on the tweeter itself.
