Hi team how's it going? I'm a new member to this forum and the commodore world. As of tuesday hopefully i'll be the owner of a VY Series 2 ute. The front bumper is a bit wrecked so i decided that i'll change it. I'd like to put on a set of projector lamps as i tend to do a lot of night driving, and i happen to have access to a set of VZ SS headlights. My question is, how easily will a VZ ssx bumper fit onto this? i'm guessing that the grille and the lights change would be the only things that have to change..
    thanks,
    julian

you need to change the bonnet aswell i believe because of the different bonnet lines in the vy vz the dont match up to the bars correctly...i know this is in the ss models because im halfway through completing my vz ss conversion on my vt

ouch, that's going to be expensive - looks like the projectors won't be getting used! so if i use the VY front, can i still use the VZ skirts and rear bar without any further modifications?

Why don't you put a VY SS bar on it? You can pick them up fairly cheap!

I want to put one on my VY II but my insurance company won't let me! :-(

I have a spare SS I grille here.

    Not sure!

I know that a VY SS grille won't go on a VY exec or acclaim bar! I would like to know if a VZ exec/acclaim grille would fit on a VY II Acclaim bar?

I have made a few calls this morning to some other insurance companies and it looks like it is goodbye to Allianz, CGU will cover me if I put on an SS bar, change the brakes, suspension (FE2) and my 18" GTO rims.

Nope. VY's and VZ's have different shaped grilles.
