Hi guys. I have an issue with my car. I took her in to get the air con serviced and filled. The guys there also went exploring because the air con didn't work after the service. They were under the hood mucking around with the fuses and relays. They had also touched the battery, I know this because the terminals were loose and the covers were off. When we picked up there car, she was reading very low fuel, needle was on empty and the computer was beeping as us. We took it to the nearest servo and filled her up. Still no change, so I took it back to the guys that did the air con. They told me to come back after the Australia Day long week end, as they were about to close. Took it back to them on the Tuesday and they hooked it up to two different scan tools, trying to tell me that it was the BCM. Sorry but that was just replaced and I know it's not that. We brought her home to the mechanic that did the BCM and he has had her on and off for the last 3 weeks. After many trips to him and many phone calls to his 'gurus', he has narrowed it down to the instrument cluster. He has tried new fuel pump, fuel sensor, reprogramming the instrument cluster, tested the BCM and the ECU, fuses, ect. Could it be anything else?
Id be telling the first guys to fix what they stuffed up at no charge because the fuel gauge was fine prior to them touching it.
Yep. I'm calling those guys tomorrow morning. However after what they have already done I will not be taking my car back there for fear of them doing something else to my car. I would much rather send them the bill from my mechanic lol
