VZ Adventra LX6
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue with a VZ Holden Adventra (LX6) where the fog lights are stuck on even when the switch is off.
I've tried:
  • Removing the headlight switch
  • Removing the fuses (only turns off when the lighting control fuse is removed)
  • Disconnecting the battery to reset the computers over night
  • Disconnecting both headlights
The relay isn't stuck, you can hear it clicking on and off and I have tried multiple fuses.
If anyone perhaps has a wiring diagram of the lighting circuits and what is on the same circuit, that would be much appreciated as I cannot find it anywhere on the internet.

Thanks.

It’s everywhere on the Internet.
Search for VZ Factory Workshop Manual.
You’ll find the link for the download.
Adventra is part of that.

It could easily still be a faulty relay.
They are negatively switched so a rubbed through wire might also be responsible. Likely to find around the fuse/relay box under the bonnet. The looms contact the body in a few places there.

Check the earth points. In particular the one behind the battery. Unplug it, clean the contacts and remove the earth mount and clean out the thread with a tap. Scotchbrite the threads. Do the earth below the ABS as well.
