Yup ... I feel your pain ,I have a early 2005 Vz sv6... Iv had never ending problems this year too , new battery , 02 sensors , oil pressure sensor , nearly whole cooling system replaced , 2 sets of Tyres ( 20's) and buckled rim repair , coil packs , dash cluster swap coz my standard one crapped it , new cat converters ( sv6 has 4 ) ... Now I got a new problem and i don't know how much that is gonna cost to fix but I reckon it's gonna be expensive coz I might need new computers too or new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator or injectors ... Iv nearly paid car off twice by the time I fix this new problem .... So annoyed but what can you do right ?

I think most people will agree its a luck of the draw.
Some people have bad luck while others have good luck.

In my case i generally have good luck, The most i have had todo on here in the past 4 or so years is...
    1: a oil pressure switch
2: stuck indicator (Relay replacement on a board,, either BCM/ECu) cant recall which one
3: transmission... DUE to my driving habbits.
4: use a welder to remove the oil plug
5: original rear self levelling suspension replaced due to a leak.. replaced with stock suspension

Apart from that she had never done my head in YET!...
In saying that mine has a LS1 and as much as people say the v6 is better, i tend to think the v8's seem to last longer.
? how did the computer cost you $2000... was that for holdens to fault find an replace it?

Damn that's some bad luck boys I've had my 07 vz sv6 ute for almost a year now and had nothing go wrong yet (touch wood:)) and I have to say I give it hell almost every day but it's a manual tho dont see y it would make much of a difference but. Id have to say its just a bit of bad luck or maybe lemons? All the best anyway replacing all that would bring me to tears haha

i've got an 04 executive, in the last 2 years i had to replace thermostat and water pump, plugs and battery, inner tie rod and apparently bushes don't look good either. leaking rear suspension and discs probably need machined, breaking is getting a little rough. also went through 2 front tyres in 6 months thanks to a dodgy alignment and one rear thanks to a massive puncture. given the car is getting close to 10 years old.. its not surprise really. not happy about spending money though, but i do like my car :)

I too think sometimes you just get bad luck with a car. Out of curiosity, How many cars are on your VZ's? Allot of those problems sound like things would occour after about 200,000 K's? Also things like brakes, rotors, bushes and tyres are wear and tear unfortunately they have to be replaced on any car.

I agree with good luck and bad luck ... Iv owned car for 3 1/2 years now , I bought it for $15 grand with 52 thousand on the lock ... It's a turismo blue sv6 and think the only upgraded parts when bought brand new was a LSD metallic paint and a rust protection thing ( Little box next to the battery) , it's full history book and everything was in the car and it was bought by a small flight center in Qld .... It has just hit 120 thousand now , most my problems started at 85 thousand too present so she's fairly young but I do give my car a hard time alot but also service and look after it the best I can ...and I love my car too even if it a v6 and a Vz
