[NSW] VZ Intimitent Miss Fire

Have a VZ alloytech that in recent days started to have a intimitent miss at idle then at acceleration. The Holden dealer said no message showing on computor so must be electrical. They think it is either the wire harness or the cpt plugs into on the front of the motor. I am still not sure this is correct as they did not change plugs or check injectors. They could be right or going for the most expensive allimination parts first. Any feedback what else we could check would be appreciated.
