Hi my vz alloytec is running rough and feels a lot more powerful when cold compared to when at operating temperature and also uses incredible amounts of fuel. I believe that its faulty o2 sensors, I wanted to replace them but there are 4 sensors before and after cat. R the front ones different from the back, if so where could I find some.
Thanks Dan

4 wire Bosch O2 on the back.
5 wire Bosch O2 on the front.

Go with Bosch rather than after market. Lesson learned for me.

Get an O2 sensor socket to do the job.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before you do anything.

Unplug the sensors and undo them.
Front pssanger is easy done from under bonnet.
Two rears from under the car. Support it on stands.
Front drivers get at from under the car and it’s fiddly.

Give the MAF a clean with MAF sensor cleaner. Check the air filter and go over the vacuum hoses incase there’s some damage/cracking.

What's the best angle. I'm using a 22mm spanner. From top not getting a good grip. Go underneath still no good

This is what you need to use on an O2 sensor, a slotted socket for removing O2 sensors.

Thinking to do this on mine, which is a 3.6L Alloytec VZ Acclaim (180,000km). I think i only have 2 O2 sensors because when i put my OBD2 on i see two, is it correct? (i have single exhaust pipe out the back):
Oxygen sensor 1 Bank 1
Oxygen sensor 1 Bank 2

Youll have 4 in total. 2 before Cats, 2 after the Cats.
Sensor 1 is the before cats.
and the Banks (1 = drivers, 2 = Passenger) are each side.
