vz problems

Just bought a 2004 vz wagon and it has a couple of small problems..just wondered if they are common.
Its all to do with the lefthand door.The lock motor doesnt drive the lock up or down but does detect its position by manually locking /unlocking all the other doors if you press it with your finger.
Also the protector strip on the outside has a crack straight through it.
Anyone else had the same problems?

The lock problem is very common. It's an alinment issue. Holden will look after it under warrenty in most cases.

Both common faults, the lock seizes causing the acuator to burn out, the outer door body protector mould cracks, not a big job, unless its painted, they come standard black.

The bloody thing worked today for a couple of times ....is the lock motor jamming or is the rodding /mechanism outside the motor jamming? Should I get it to holden straight away before it self destructs?

I had the same problem with strips on a VY adventura cracked in half both sides.

All fixed now they did front and back lefthand lock motors and protector strip on lefthand door under warranty and in the time they said....minimum of fuss and they did the job well and no scratches or any damage.
Village Motors Petrie was the dealership ...they impressed me and I'm a hard marker.
