Hi. I purchased the Autel Maxiscan MS609 Scan tool Friday, so far it has done what i wont it do. At least it clears the P0018 fault, it has confirmed the P0521 fault i fix last week is still good. But I am hoping it will help me I.D. the P0018 fault. I beginning to think maybe the oil needs changing again, but this time i will also give the engine a good engine flush I did change the oil 3 weeks ago just after i purchased the car, but the oil sensor did have a lot of gunk on it when i changed it, fault P0521. Hi guys the P0521 fault relates to the engine oil pressure circuit, the P0018 fault as stated by robo1850
Isnt P0018 the Valve Timing out of sequence (Bank 2 sensor 1)? Cheers Rob.
relates to the cam\crank correlation on bank 2 inlet cam (left side of engine), which is the first timing chain put on (3 chains, 1 primary, 2 secondary) sounds like you may have jumped a tooth on the left heads timing chain, first chain on, last to take off for fixing......big problem $$$$$ to fix unless you can do it yourself (most places prefer to change engines rather than pull it apart)
hope this isn't the case for you as i have just fixed P0016 on mine as the engine just had heads done, new timing chains and tensioner etc, however my mechanic stuffed it up and i have just fixed it myself (P0016 crank\cam correlation bank 1 inlet cam) cam timing was out by one tooth on the chain in relation to crank position, engine ran but was a little rough and lacking performance....
