VZ SS engine cutting out

While driving my engine starts to run rough and feels like the car is jolting, after coming to a stop engine cuts out. Usually starts again afterwards and will run and drive fine until next time it’s driven. Have taken to mechanic but couldn’t figure it out, no fault codes present, idles fine. I’m stumped and have no clue what it could be, any ideas?
