Vz ss leaking fuel pump

Hey guys I recently replaced my fuel pump and after filling the tank up I smelt fuel really bad inside the cab so I had a look around the pump and it was soaked in fuel. I pulled the pump out and checked the o ring and all was good. Checked fuel lines and no leaks. Doesn't leak on idle only when driving. I noticed the rubber inside the plug was stuffed could it be leaking through that?

I'm going to say it's the o ring seal - I had problems with mine - kept thinking it was right but was getting squashed and leaking.

I've even tried putting the old pump back in and swapping the I rings around and still having dramas. Seems like the I ring is in but maybe not. I've had it in and out about 5 times trying to fix it haha. Now I just get high when I drive
