VZ SS UTE Gearbox problems need help!!!

gday all names adrian from melb and im new to the forums,

have a question to ask before i go out and have my wallet raped,

i have a VZ SS 6ltr 6speed ute and almost every time i upshift 2nd to 3rd it makes a loud ass grinding noise in the gearbox. it also does it when im downshifting from 2nd back to 1st.

the cars only got 70,000klms on it and the oil was replaced in the box 10000klms ago with dex3.

has eny one else experienced this problem????

and how do you bleed the clutch i cant seem to find a bleeder nipple???

i appreciate any help.

i am not a mechanic but have been working on cars for over 35 years and i think dex 111 is too thin and what you need to do is drain out 1l of it and add back 1l of 20/50 engine oil just to slow down the synchros a little bit it will cost you next to nothing but worth a try as for bleeding the slave cylinder maybe cracking the hose closest to the cylinder while applying pressure to the pedal will help keep us in the loop
