so driving home last night, at a set of lights and just out of the blue, she just died!...towed it back home and looking at it this morning, fuel pump is fine, (also has a full tank of fuel)...it cranks over and starts, idles like a pig for about 3 seconds and then dies...any previous experiences or ideas? I know i most likely need a diagnotics test done but any help would be appreciated....damn cars! haha

    Ok here's a few things.
    1. How long ago was its major service? (all fluids, plugs, leads, etc)
    2. How many km's has it done?
    3. What petrol station did you fill up at and does it have a high turn over?
    4. Before the aforementioned incident did it have any more problems?

Fuel filter? Sucking in air due to a leak?

If you're basing the full tank on the gauge, I had a VX that showed 1/4 tank when it was empty. Stuck a few liters in off it went. I'm totally suspicious of the gauges.

It's not much use asking a question like that here, all you get is ideas, truth is there are way too many things that could cause that problem. Take it to your mechanic.
