Hell,
recently I have been luck enough to buy a low KM VZ SS Crewman... It's almost 100% stock....

I'm not going to modify that much but I do want to put a nice exhaust on it.. So My question is!!
Are the Headers, cats and any part of the exhaust the same as other VZ's (Ute's, Wagon's etc)??
I have asked a couple of shops and getting mixed messages..

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

The headers and cats are the same as used on other VZ V8 utes and sedans
The catback is different and a Crewman specific system will be needed

If you're looking for a better quality V8 sound I would suggest (just as a starting point) to fit a catback exhaust.
You may be satisfied with just the sound of the catback, but if you're not you can always add the headers and hi-flow cats afterwards anyway

Seeing as you are in W.A
I suggest checking out the Manta Exhaust System
http://www.mantapro.com.au/vehicles/holden/holden-crewman-one-ton/
They manufacture catback systems in stainless steel or aluminised steel
They are also available in 3 different sound levels of Quiet, Medium and Loud

Just thought that I would add...…
I have a Manta stainless steel catback on my VZ 1 Tonner and love the sound of it.
As far as I know the Crewman and 1 Tonner exhausts are identical in configuration, so....
Here's a few pics of it

That does look very fancy!!!Very neat and tidy!!! I have a Manta system in my VS Ute and happy with that..

I will get onto their site and have a look.. I would probably go with a Manta system as catback but would be nice to do all the system at one time. Thinking it will help with the performance and economy (not that economy matters with a V8 lol).

Thanks Heaps for the info and pics

Exactly....Who buys a V8 for fuel economy :)

The Manta exhaust systems come with Hurricane extractors
I've never used Hurricane myself, but I haven't heard anything negative about them either.

My full system is made up of:
Pacemaker Extractors
# PH5361
1-3/4" primaries with 3" outlet
PH 5361 Left.jpg
PH5361 Right.jpg

Pacemaker Hi-Flow Cats :

# Cat5361-02L & Cat5361-02R
3" inlet to 2-1/2" outlet

Catback :

Looks like I may have secured a very similar setup... I do like the look of it all... going to be a pain in the butt to install I'm sure.

On another note where do you host photo's to post on here??

The left header drops in through the engine bay, and the cats and catback are easy to install
Fitting the right header can be a pain in the arse if you're doing the job on a set of jack stands

A few tips
# Disconnect the battery as you'll be working around the starter motor....Better to be safe than sorry
# Remove spark plugs to avoid damaging them
# The right header has to come in from underneath the car, it will not go in through the engine bay no matter how hard you try
To do this you'll have to:
Disconnect the steering column where it connects to the rack
Then unbolt the steering rack from the K frame to be able to move it to the side to gain the clearance needed to fit the header
# Remove the bolt that is securing the power steering rack return line to the front of the K frame before you start moving the rack around, as this will give you a little more wiggle room....and will also avoid the likelihood of bending and damaging the return line
# You may need to trim some of the starter motor heat shield to avoid contacting the header....I didn't because mine had heaps of clearance
# You need to remove 2 right angle brackets that are bolted on between the chassis rail and firewall....easily done

If I think of anything else that'll make the job easier I'll come back and add it to this post

Most of the pics I upload are from my laptop
But I use Imgur for the pics the forum won't accept from my laptop
