Hi all.
Hoping to find a solution to a problem with our VZ LS1.
Before Christmas the engine started to misfire after we had a storm and the vehicle was driven through water, not deep enough to flood the engine but definitely deep enough to hit the exhaust and create steam.
With the next start the engine had a missfire which seems to come and go.
Some days it would drive ok, other days it would barely drive.
We have plugged in a scanner which showed a number of faults (things that I had stuffed with, MAF and O2 sensors). The faults were cleared and have not returned.
I have replaced the coils, plugs, leads, MAF sensor, O2 sensors. None of these fixed the problem.
SVS error often comes up on dash but not always.
I've now sent it to a local mechanic who has yet to diagnose the cause of the problem but has found that power to injectors 3,4,5 and 6 is cut when the engine is under load.
Naturally we thought that it had to be the ECU so this was replaced but it has not fixed the problem.
Anyone else had a similar problem?
