It’s an orange rubber seal. Has an odd shape. Easy to find.

Wait. Do you mean the factory DBW throttle body or an after market one? After market needs an adaptor plate that converts the three bolt mount to 4 bolt of the LS2 style throttle body. That should have an o-ring. It mates onto/against the stock factory o-ring.

There’s only the seal.

It goes between the throttle body and the intake manifold. This is on mine.

Someone here suggested 0000 Steelwool and WD40 when I cleaned the VIN plate. Bloody amazing and super easy work.

Go with that. Block up each side of the butterfly with a rag. Rub the outside down with the steel wool and WD40. Then rinse it down carefully with throttle body cleaner.

You also have the small coolant hoses connecting to it. Some vise grips or hose clamps on each hose should keep the mess to a minimum.

Don’t go pushing the butterfly open and closed. Do clean the inside with throttle body cleaner if it’s second hand. Wipe with a paper towel.

It’s just a good idea not to. Some might say it doesn’t matter. My experience is don’t mess about with it. I have wrecked one before and the advice is that it harms the motor or it’s calibration. Not sure exactly. Err on the side of caution.
