The throttle body on models before VZ and I think early VZ with a cable had a TPS.
There isn’t a TPS as far as I know on the drive by wire throttle body. There is a motor and a variable resistor or 4.

No worries.id rather b safe then sorry.As i just want to get her back on the road again.its my pridn joy.its got lots of new gear Cam sensor.Crank sensor.New mace red coils.denso irridium plugs.top gun leads.Cheers mate for the good advice i will b listening to all u said

And geting the old gasket out of the inlet manifold would it req and glue etc.or just fit it in.Cheers

There’s no gasket. There’s an o-ring. Lifts out with a small flat blade screwdriver.

Could be reused but for $30, get a new one and keep the old one as a spare.

I did mine a few weeks back yer I shouldn’t moved the butterfly for cleaning probably should not have as it now wants to sit at 1000rpm when in drive but in neutral it’s normal 400rpm whatever.

1000 rpm in drive is crazy, have you tried the idle relearn procedure?
Funny how it’s hit and miss with some throttle bodies, is it just for DBW versions?
