Update: Time for LS swap? Put fuel in the other night and it wouldn’t start until I pushed on the accelerator a bit. Then started choking at the lights and died again. Started this morning and drive fine.... any other ideas?

What if the issue is with the throttle?
I have a post showing the internals and resolved some running issues when I replaced mine after many head aches.

Yeah thinking that. Only thing that through me off that idea was the fact that when it wouldn’t start at all (even after playing around with throttle) I would bridge the fuel relay and it would start... I will have a look at your post though thanks

At this point, there must be codes set, or at least pending. What are they?

Ok, what sort of code reader are you using? If it has stalled, then a code has to be logged. Try getting it read with a tech2 or a snap on Verus Pro or something.

Started with just a obd wifi thing but didn’t find any codes so got it scanned at an autoelects with a snap on scanner. I was sure there would be codes lodged too.

UPDATE: Problem fixed. Turned out to be the Purge Valve Solenoid. As this regulates the fuel vapours that can enter the engine from the fuel tank to be burnt up, after fueling up due to a fault with this solenoid, excess vapour is allowed through causing the engine to “flood”. Wish I tried this before replacing the ECU....
