If you take the manifold of the car do you have to replace the gasket or can you just buy some gasket glue??

Around the $50 mark for a plenum gasket from Holden. They are actually for VE's but obviously fit the VZ.

ok thats good then, so if i replace my paper gaskets with the metal ones, would i have to put abit of oil over the gasket or just take the old one off, stick the new one on and do nothing besides stick the plenum back on?
