I have a vz sv6 that has been sitting in my back yard for over a year now because the timing chains streached so would it be worth putting a new engine in it now or will it need to many things replaced from it sitting so long? Cheers

You don't need to be replacing the engine if that's all that is wrong with it, just replace the timing chains.
You can buy complete kits to do the job properly from any decent parts store or even off ebay.
Give it an oil & filter change, put some fresh fuel in it & fit a new fuel filter and you should be on your way again.
I'd give the cooling system a flush & refill with the correct coolant too.
