oh k, now i get it.

so when a vn v8 owner says i have a stock v8. it means i have a vs clubby(or similar) motor with new diff gears
We'll it's not our fault you didn't know he owned a VN Clubby.

A quick Alloytec
have taken on a vr/vs clubsport, dunno what mods, and had no worries, he was manual (could tell by chirping) i was only in power mode not using a/s (but i do have full exhaust system)
dunno the actual diff between vr/vs to the vn's but i think thed be similar

"stock V8" does not mean clubby motor, it should have been mentioned

agreed

anyways back to the original question a stock vn v8 would not win. a modified one would most likely win

Its the same motor guys. the only thing different on those motors are the tune and zorst etc.

Putting a 185 motor in a car that already had a 165 will cancel it out, unless you change the exhaust.

Even stock, i still think the VN would win/be level at the least.

Well stock vs stock it would be pretty damn even and prolly depends on the driver. Modded vs modded depends on what mods.

I was dead even and pulling away from a vn v8 (dunno if any mods) and I have the pos 4speed, but CAI and full exhaust system.

I've seen both cars at the drags and I'd say stock autos would be about the same, with the VN having an advantage if there was an advantage to be had. In the manuals the VN would win fairly easily. But all you need is a spanner and a timing light, 5 minutes and the VN would be much faster than the SV6 there's just too big a torque to weight advantage

Why should it be mentioned? He owns a clubby.........thats the motor it came with.
