Hey, has anyone here changed a tail light bulb in a ute with a plastic liner without taking the damn liner out?
it looks like a hell of a job to take the liner out.

You can fold the plastic up in the middle like an upside down U depending on the number of screws you have holding the liner in place.

The screws in the plate where the tail lights are located will take the most time to take off. After that it's plain sailing.

oo, hadnt thought of that. will give it a go . thanks.

edit. dead easy. less than a minute to whip out a couple of screws then just lift the middle of the liner. instant access.
pity there was nothing wrong with the globe. must have had a bad contact on the fitting. started working as soon as i started wiggling the globe socket.

Bit of electronic contact cleaner in the socket will sort that out.
