I have a vz sv6 5 speed auto 190kw 193,xxx Kim's

the gears seem to hold when accelerating at a normal pace the power button is off but the gears really stretch out and the third gear is quite jolty, the gears kick back faster than they should it seems I'm pretty sure the transmission is due for a service, I have only had the car for a week and am unsure if investing in a service is worth it if I need to replace the transmission all together I have also been told it may just need a reset from holden I have no idea what that means if anyone can enlighten me it also has a problem in the passenger wheel joists or baring or something that is causing the breaks abs and traction control warnings to come up I am not sure if this is playing up with the gear changes any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated as I'm clueless

( the transmission does not slip out of gear at all just the gear changes are not as smooth as they should be, sticking, kicking back)

Have you had the vehicle checked by an Auto Transmission Specialist. There are heaps around in most suburbs and towns. Perhaps you could try a Google (or similar) search.

Be careful where you get it serviced... I got mine serviced in feb 12 but i still dont know if they did anything at all... I would recommend not buying a vz at all unless you are completely confident with how the transmission runs. its pretty much the only thing in the vz's that seems to #### up and cost alot...

The 5-Speed auto in VZ is costly when something goes wrong, after only 4 months of having my car, the transmission was playing up and i later had to get it rebuilt, $3500....
