Vz ute and tonneau cover

Hi all - hope you can help me with the question about the tonneau on the ute

just bought a vz with a soft tonneau cover and trying to figure out how the cross bars clip in nad hold the tonneau up so it doesn’t sag and collect water when parked or be “sucked inwards” when driving?

Is there some trick I haven’t figured out yet on how to install it or do i need to buy a new set of cross bars that hold it up more?
