Earth wire being the negative wire from the led?

Yes

Also the parkers wont turn on now haha woops! Might just be a terminal is loose or something would you have any idea what it could be?

Check the fuse. Not sure of the number on the VZ but it's number 4 on the VY.
Did you disconnect the battery before starting the job?

Relay wiring...
Pin numbers are clearly marked underneath relay.
Pin 30 and 86 = Brown wire in headlight loom.
Pin 87 = Positive on the LED
Pin 85 = Battery negative (find a closer earth if possible for neatness but battery is fine.

This will have LEDs switch on/off with parkers only.
If you want, you can add a switch between the headlight loom and pin 30 and 86.

If you wish to switch them independantly of parkers then you will need to come into the cabin or find an ignition source underneath the fuse block in the fuse box.
