VS Ute
So I've found a tiny rust hole in the top of my fuel tank.
Instead of replacing with a vs tank, could the tank from a vz,vu,vy ute fit into my ute size wise?
Wanting this swap mainly for the sender unit being on top instead of at the front, would the different sender be able to be re-wired to suit easy enough?

I highly doubt it given the large variation in floor pans between VS and VZ. Also the fact the the VS is live axle and the VZ is is IRS could play a large part in the shape of the tank.

Be easier to replace what you already have with the same or just get yourself an VS SS tank or similar. The SS is a 73L tank or the HSVs had the 80L tank.

ah okay, yeh that was my major concern,if it would even fit or not..guess ill just get a replacement tank and throw in.
might look into a slightly bigger tank while im at it, cant go too big tho as i have my second battery in the space next to the tank.
thanks everyone for the replies.

now that I have upped my meds that seems like pretty good advice.................................thank god for drugs otherwise I would be able to see we are talking ute. Ute tank in middle, not at back. VG VP VR VS Maloo all the same.

Demonica, how do you calculate to get less than 8litres per hundred on your car? Gobsmacked I is. (ur urban is my hwy)

(not the Kia of course)

My bad lol. I speed read so I tend to skip words. There is a **** load of room in the utes for a bigger tank though. Never looked into the long range tanks for my previous utes.

Lean cruise mode ;) and that's with a mediocre crow tune.
