Errrr. It's stuck... Boiling water would make it expand and make it more stuck. Do it when its dead cold, and turn that bitch as hard as you can.

Yeah, we figured with dads VE you have to wait til its realllllly cold, like first thing in the morning, and its still a bitch.
I snapped one in half using some multi grips while it was still warm.

Bloody stupid design.

We put a little rubber grease around the neck where the 'O' rings seal, but its still a bitch.

thanks for your responses - appreciate it :)

yea tried cold and tried warm over the last few days...

id prefer not to shatter one with the mutligrips trying to get leverage... but im running out of other options...lol

i was thinking maybe heat the metal around it to expand.. although im sure the heat transfer into the cap will be pretty quick...

just thought id post just incase anyone had some little tricks up their sleeve :)

update :-

good news I got the radiator cap off by using rubber gloves which gave me extra grip and did it while it was cold - so thanks for that advice Zeussy and VZ_commo91 :)

bad news opened Radiator cap and creamy glug comes out... its almost solid [ engine overheats too as above]

could that be a closed shut thermostat?

or cracked head gasket? cracked head?

not alot of bubbles in there but its creammy crap coming out :(

thanks for any help anyone can give me :)
