I have a 6 speed manual VZ V6 one tonner. Around town I cant get any better than 16.8L to 100k with an average speed of 36ks. On the highway its only records 12L to 100k with an average speed of 100ks.

I think this is very poor fuel consumption. My VT LS1 used less fuel.

I am after peoples fuel constumption figures for the V6 manual but I also need it with average speed.

I am hoping to be able to prove to holden that this isnt axceptable fuel consumption for a 12,000k old ute.

Please post in this format.....

Car - VZ V6 One tonner
Transmittion - 6 Speed manual
Fuel Consumption - 16.8L to 100k city
Average speed - 36kmh

16.8L to 100 is completly empty. Never seen better than that.

Had it at holden a few weeks ago, they replaced 02 sensors and couldnt find anything else wrong with it.

no ****, learn something new everyday. Thought it would be lighter than a sedan? Why the extra consumption?

My Dec 05 S does about 9.1 to 9.6L/100 on the open road (depending on the wind)

Round town I get about 12.5 - 13.5L/100.

Mine's stock in the engine / exhaust department.

Do you drive round with the tonneau on or off?

Its a one tonner. Has a tray and no tonneau.

I have taken the tray sides off to see if it made any difference, but it didnt.
