in the next week or so ill be pulling off my vz v6 TB and will be putting a few ideas to work.

i wish to try to bore/hone it out and fit a bigger butterfly (also do the same with the manifold)
or if that fails i will attempt to make a custom made one with a old/damaged TB and some materials.

any tips or advice or anything anyone wishes to advise?

if sucsesfull may even consider making a few extra that ill sell.

ill update with photos and info if goes to plan

Yeah I'm sure I read some polished it, and it didn't work, it just ended up getting error warnings on the dash...

yeah after i knife edged the butterfly it came up with powertrain error but it was because of one of the following what i did:
1. opened the sealed unit to have a look and to hold butterfly open.
2. mightve removed throttle wire while key was turned on notch

it does go away after a few drives unless you really did stuff something.

impulsesv6 'bored' one out, i trialled it on my car and it made some minor differences with a modified manifold, dont think it would do much on a standard manifold.. if your interested in having yours done pm me and ill see if i can help you out

just messaged you mate.

sence there has been alot of action with modified tb's what about any custom made ones?

my idea is to make it out of mild steel at this point so i can do it all myself to trial it and then go alluminium.
and as for the electronics id get a doner and chop the pipe section off and mount the rest onto the new bigger pipe section.

ideas?

Unless you have done a tune, exhaust, cams, intake, manifold, port and polish. There is no way boring your TB will do anything.

The restriction from the TB will be next to nothing.
