Has anyone here done a ‘vt/vx/vy’ ls1 conversion into vz?

From what I can tell, wiring in a standalone ls1 loom and leaving the v6 wiring loom in place seems to be a reasonably straightforward way of doing a v6 to v8 conversion.

For simplicity one could go to cable throttle and manual transmission, eliminating a couple of headache points.

Thoughts / feedback?

There will be a lot of items to be changes/altered for this type of conversion,
Good luck with it.

Yeah for sure, still up for
- k frame and engine mounts
- radiator, thermo fans and cooling hoses, overflow bottle
- airbox
- alternator, a/c compressor, etc.

Um. No.
The two cars may as well be different models.
Even VZ 04/05 and VZ 05 and VZ 06/07 all had differences in engine management and significant differences in wiring.

You will need a donor car.
You will need a Tech2, or similar, scan tool.
You will need a fat wallet.

it is not worth it... to get eveything happy and function you cant do a LS1 into a V6 VZ...... - if wanting to put a v8 into a V6 then go the 6L route - it is far less complicated as both systems are canbus
