HELP. WL Caprice deadlock feature.

The drivers door handle was lifted up while the vehicle was deadlocked.

When door was unlocked it displayed the message that there had been an attempted entry drivers door.

Ever since then we have been unable to lock or unlock the drivers door with the remote. The door will lock and unlock manually or by using the key in the door.

Any ideas? Does the system need to be reset after an attempted entry? The manual doesn’t say so. It just says to use remote to lock vehicle or
double press to deadlock it again.

TIA

You should just press the mode button.

You should just press the mode button.
We have done that and the message has gone, we have been all through the menus and found nothing relative but for some reason the drivers door just will no longer lock or unlock using the remote. I think we'll have to pull it apart but was just checking if there was something else we needed to do to reset the system maybe. May just be coincidental that the door lock no longer works with remote after the deadlock function was tripped.

Most likely the actuator. Door card off, peel back the weather sheet and remove the lock assembly. Replace the actuator. Heaps on eBay.

Another possibility is the door lock relay in the BCM. Cheap to replace if you are good at soldering small solders on the circuit board. There are businesses that do it.

Another possibility is a broken or loose wire in the door loom. Undo/plug the door loom and check the continuity of each related wire.
