VZs with timing chain issues

is it every VZ could have stretched timing chains or just the later ones? looking at 05 acclaim wagon v6 auto with ~150k on it wondering if anything to look out for

You will need to ask if the current owner has or knows if the timing chains have been done. Usually they have well before 150,000 kms some wouldn’t make 80,000 but it’s not impossible. Make sure you take it for a good drive and check to make sure that there is no oil coming from around the timing cover as well as around the rocker covers. Does it come with a service history?

If it isn't throwing an actual code indicating a stretched timing chain(s), I wouldn't even worry about it.
