Ever since i got my license ive done nothing but buy bombs to get me too and from so ive decided once i finish my trade ( another two years ) I'll buy myself a nice car.
Considering i'm in a trade i was looking into utes until the other day when i spotted a really nice Monaro.

My main question is..
Would the recently Monaros be a good investment? As in, does anyone think they will eventually hold/gain value at all like its brothers?

Somehow I think there will be a small collectors markets for the CV8's and GTO's (nobody cares about the CV6)

But won't be anything near as popular as the original monaros

I can't see them dropping in value dramatically but then again I can't see them going up to high either

Yes, obviously there would be a market for them.

CV6's were a low volume unit. At this stage, nobody cares about them. But in 30 years time when 75% of them are bombed? You work it out...

There's actually one for sale in the For Sale section :)

Only cars I would buy as an investment is:

1. A V8 as these will soon be a thing of the past. (I can see the VF being worth a fair bit in 25-30 years time as it will be the last V8 holden will ever be allowed to sell by the look of it)

2. a car that will not be driven daily....would live most of its live under a cover and come out very very rarely.

I have never seen a daily in showroom condition (even AMG's/911's etc etc)

But if I had a choice I would invest in real estate etc......investing in cars is only a good idea if you have your life where you want it.

There is no such thing as a daily drive investment......

If I could tell the future I would be buying lotto tickets every week.

Then I could buy whatever car I wanted without having to worry about what it's future value would be.
