Hey guys - is it best to get AutoClub eg RAA inspect the SV6 before my warranty expires? Not sure dealer will do much without this.

Though your factory warranty may expire, your statutory warrant as provided under Australian Consumer Law doesn’t specify an end date and can protects you well after the manufacturers warranty has ended.

There have been many threads and posts discussing ACL on JC forums, so you could do a google search using the following search string “site: https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/ australian consumer law vf ”.

You could also read through the Sudden Loss of Power Steering sticky thread on the VF forums or some of the Fuel Injector thread.

Otherwise you could google Australian Consumer Law ;)

But, if you have any known warranty concerns, simply get the dealer to look at them and get the service documentation which should list your concerns and their findings/repairs... Documenting the fault as early as possible, while under manufacturers warranty, is and should always be the first step... no need for third party to check it (unless you know nothing about cars and don’t trust the dealer).
