Hi all, just wondering if anyone uses a sealant on the metal gaskets for the water pump?
Its a vt 5.7 if that makes a difference?

There is usually a dry type of sealant on those gaskets. I didn't use any sealant when I changed my water pump, no leaks.

If it's been leaking for a while I would put sealant on as well as the new gasket just to fill the corrosion hole.
