water temp light problems

have a problem with a vs statesman. the water temp light will come on and beep when the key is turned to "on" position even when the engine is cold? the light will stay on from thereafter and keeps beeping. have done the diagnostic test and getting code 12 so it seems to think everything is fine.

try replacing your temp sender, there around $25 and take 5 mins to change.
