Waves of heat eminating from sides of car next to drivers door

    Hey

    Just wondering if its normal to have massive waves of heat rising up from the sides of the car? I have VYSS 6m, not sure if its just heat from the transmission or not...

    My old car (magna) used to do this from time to time as well, but that was a bomb so im not sure if its normal or if I should be worried or not.

    Is Car Running?

    I have experienced what you mention, but only with engine running and radiator colling fan running. That would make it hot air exiting the engine bay.

    Might also happen with engine off, but parked facing into a reasonable wind.

    yeh

    yeh it only happens when the motor is running and sitting still.
    i thought it might be the rad pushing hot air out, but when I got out of the car and tried to feel fo any areas that might be releasing the gusts i could find none. i would not have thought the rad fans would be strong enough to push such a volume of air in any distance with such force

    Yeah, they do...

    Feel it hardcore in the VY, but had the same thing in my VR and VK.

    *shrug* Wouldn't worry about it, as long as it at cranking into the red she'll be right!

    Yeah mine does it, and so do all of our cars (VX, VS, VY) so no real cause for concern.
