Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway.
Top Holden of the Week
The HSV R8 is one of the toughest modern Aussie cars getting around on the public roads. Proving it’s not just great for when the kids are late to school and putting down an impressive 12.50 @ 112.8 MPH quarter mile.
Top Ford of the Week
Looking great in green this XY ute was one to keep your eye on throughout the night. The staggered wheel and tyre combo both aesthetically pleasing and functional, helping this big rig run a best time of 11.26 @ 118.5 MPH.
Top Japanese of the Week
The SW20 MR2 has been interpreted in a number of different ways since its release back in the early 90’s. This particular example staying true to its original body lines looked great as it boosted down the quarter mile in 13.86 @ 99.0 MPH.
Top European of the Week
It’s not uncommon to spot the odd C63 amongst the Aussie and JDM cohort on a Wednesday night. Though the plates BLWN63 suggesting more than the standard 6.3L V8 was powering this particular example as it blew down the strip in 10.30 @ 135.8 MPH.
Commentators Pick of the Week
This week’s commentators pick comes straight to you from the golden age of American muscle. Standing up on all four as it launched from the starting line and holding the pedal to the metal all night with a fastest time of 11.15 @ 119.2 MPH.
