Car = VN SS 5.0ltr approx 260,000km's
Mods= 3inch exhaust - Performance memcal unit

Ok this problem is very weird and i'm stumped.

Start car with cold engine = fine
Drive car for abit and let engine warm up
Turn off engine
Turn engine back on = engine starts then starts to idel down and stalls
Re-start engine = sputters/sounds like only 4 cylinders are running/stinks of fuel. then stalls.

Keep on trying to start engine .. wont start as about 10-15mins passes the engine will start fine.

There is no problems whatsoever when the car is driving. Its just when you turn it off then try to restart it.

What i've done to try and fix this.

Replaced fuel filter
Replaced spark plugs
Replaced air filter
Got injectors ultrasonicaly clean
Cleaned out the throttle body
Ran diagnositic thing.... only code 12 (which is fine)

Would this be a temp sensor malfunction? I heard this can control the amount of fuel.

Or fuel pump seizing?

I dont want to send it to holden or anything it will cost heeps.

it does sound like leaking injectors...the temp sensor wouldnt cause it to overfuel enough to make it stall because when its hot it will tell the ECU to put less fuel in thatn when its cold, if you can get a hold of another 5 litre on a weekend, change over each sensor individually, start off with the temp sensor, then the manifold air temp sensor, then the MAP sensor and so on.... a few sensors are pretty tricky to get to but its beter than forking out money for them all
EDIT: also check the oxygen sensor before you do all that^^^

it sounds like the fuel pump is bleeding off when you switch it of and its not priming and rinning up to full pressure. but before you go nuts and do all that stuff boonan sugested id change the fuel pressure regulator first, the diafram inside could be stuffed and not holding pressure when it gets hot

when it starts to do it give your fuel tank a bash and see if it starts running ok.
if it does then it means your fuel pump is giving up the ghost

if you climb under the back of your car you will see the fuel tank. at the front of the tank is the fuel pump
